Swimming the Rip for Monash Children’s Hospital
As a close friend of the Wagg family, I have witnessed the amazing work of Monash Children’s Hospital in their care of Eloise. We are keen to give back to help their team of amazing nurses, doctors and staff continue to support other children in need.
Inspired by her courage, I will be joining Eloise’s father James to take on our first Winter Rip crossing – a non-wetsuit, 3.5km swim between the treacherous water at the heads of Port Phillip Bay.
While nervous about the preparation and challenge of crossing the Rip – particularly the ‘take-your-breath-away’ cold water – I know the effort required is nothing compared to the determination that Eloise has shown us all.
Thank
you – we appreciate all your support!
