Well day 6 has finally arrived with some very tired legs amongst the bunch after a grueling slog home yesterday.
As the sun rises on another day, our tired legs remind us of the journey we've been on so far in support of our children’s charity partners. Yesterday's battle against the relentless headwind left us feeling both exhausted and determined. But fear not, today promises a new chapter filled with thrilling twists and breathtaking scenery!
Leaving behind the enchanting landscapes of Barossa, we set our sights on the bustling energy of the city, eager for what lies ahead. Our first pit stop at Kersbrook energized our spirits before we embraced the challenge of Checker Hill and the scenic wonders of Gorge Road. It's not just any road—it's one of the gems of our nation, offering vistas that make every pedal stroke worth it.
Our journey takes us to the heart-pounding ascent of 'TheCorkscrew,' a highlight of the Tour Down Under that tests both our endurance and determination. With each groan and sweat-soaked climb, we inch closer to our ultimate destination: Mt Lofty, where a well-deserved rest and a feast of flavors await us.
The camaraderie among us grows stronger as we share stories of triumphs and challenges, fueled by the anticipation of a lazy descent back into Adelaide. The city skyline beckons us home, marking the end of an unforgettable journey—one filled with ups, downs, and everything in between.
