Help me support kids in need
This is my first year supporting the Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation. I’m what they call a MAMIL: a Middle-Aged Man in Lycra! I’m mostly a Weekend Warier on the Road Bike, where I venture out with a close group of friends. The coffee stop is often longer than the bike ride!
I’m aiming to ride over 1000K through Tasmania in 7 days (very hilly!). The furthest I’ve ridden is 135K!! It’s quite honestly daunting but I’m excited. It’s going to challenge me both physically & mentally. The training alone is exhausting.
First and foremost, I’m a proud husband of Claire and father to Max & Ollie. When the opportunity came to raise money for the charity, So They Can and BaptistCare Hope Street, I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to put aside my day-to-day corporate life at Oracle and to try and raise money for these very worthy charities.
So They Can is a not-for-profit organisation focused on changing the future for children living in poverty in Kenya and Tanzania. They have a focus on education, particularly that of girls.
HopeStreet is a trusted place in some of the most vulnerable communities offering hope to people living with disadvantage and distress, particularly women and children living in fear and who have experienced domestic and family violence.
Thank you in advance for your generous donation. I do appreciate your support and aim to do you & my family proud.
