Help me support kids in need
After a grueling 7 days in Tasmania in 2022 pushing the pedals to raise funds for HopeStreet and So They Can, I've signed up again for another week of torture in the legs to support kids' charities. This year the group takes on South Island New Zealand for another 1000km, and on a course that will no doubt have more than its fair share of mountains to climb to ensure there is no easy way to the finish. This year is again supporting BaptistCare HopeStreet's programs for vulnerable children affected by domestic and family violence, and So They Can, who are helping to break the poverty cycle with girls' programs in Kenya and Tanzania. While my legs will no doubt be facing some pretty serious fatigue over these 7 days, this is nothing compared to the daily challenges that some children are faced with both abroad and in our own backyard - and through no fault of their own.
This year's Chain Reaction ride seeks to raise $850,000 to support these two charities - and I'm hoping to personally raise $6000 towards this goal. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated - and you can rest assured that I'll have nothing left in the tank come that final day in Queenstown.
