Help me support the Starlight Foundation & Monash Childrens Hospital
This gorgeous and brave little girl in the photo is my great friends Evan and Renee's daughter, Lexi. In November 2022, Lexi was diagnosed with kidney cancer.
Imagine for a moment what that would be like for a three-year-old. The beginning of 18 months filled with countless days and nights in and out of the hospital, receiving life-saving treatment. Imagine being a parent trying to explain to your child that the doctors, nurses, and hospital visits are a good thing, despite the fear and discomfort they bring.
For them, the Starlight Express Room at the Royal Children's Hospital often provided the only source of joy. This incredible space brought much-needed relief and happiness during some of their darkest days. The amazing Starlight Captains helped Lexi find the bravery and courage to continue her treatment.
I've ridden alongside Evan, both figuratively and literally, throughout this journey, hearing his praise for the Starlight Children's Foundation. When he asked me to join him in fundraising, I was quick to jump on board.
To do this, I'm taking on an extraordinary cycling challenge alongside Evan. Over just seven days, I'll be riding 1,100 km and climbing 14,000 vertical meters as part of the 2025 Chain Reaction Challenge in the North Island of New Zealand. Even as a seasoned cyclist I've never attempted anything near this magnitude!
My personal fundraising goal is $7,000, and I need your support to help raise money for kids in need.
Your generous donations all help and are tax-deductible!
For the past 17 years, Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation has raised funds to support children's charities through corporate cycling challenges. Through their efforts, they’ve helped over 60 children's charities and raised an impressive $43 million.

A message from Renee & Evan
'It's difficult to realise how important donations really are until you go through it and see it for yourselves. The fact there is a foundation set up with a single purpose of putting a smile on kids' faces is the most heart-warming thing ever - and seeing that smile on your own child's face in times of high stress and worry often puts a smile on your own face too! That has to be good, right?"Share
