1000km to support kids in need - I’m going to leave the world of Zwift and hit the road, not literally this time
In 2020, I was involved in a hit-and-run cycling accident. I was fortunate to walk away (well… limp away). For a couple of years, I could count the number of outdoor rides I’d done on one hand. Most of my cycling since then has been on Zwift — virtual rides and races.
But in 2022, Chain Reaction lured me back outside for an incredible, safe, and well-organised fundraising ride for children in need. With support from my fantastic friends and work mates, Pure Good, and Chain Reaction, I’m back again — ready to tackle this challenge and raise funds for a great cause.
This time, I’ll be trading Queensland’s warm climate for the beautiful (? aka punishing, rugged, and chilly) terrain of Aotearoa — riding 1,000+ km with over 14,000 metres of climbing in just 7 days.
Funds raised will go to support our major charity partners, So They Can and BaptistCare HopeStreet.
Anything and everything helps — please support us if you can.
Thanks for your generosity,
Mike
