Lorian is a former Professional Cyclist and an Australian Road Champion. In the pioneering years of women's professional racing in Europe, Lorian raced the spring classics of Ronde van Vlaanderen and Fleche Wallone and the French, Italian and Spanish Tours. She has raced World Championships and qualified for the Beijing Olympics.
Lorian works in the field of marketing and visual arts. She is a freelance Graphic Designer and delivers art workshops in primary schools. In her spare time she volunteers with Assistance Dogs Australia, training puppies to help people with disabilities, including children with autism. She still spends time on the bike as a core member of the Bikestyle Tours team, both as a guide and organiser extraordinaire.
2018 marks the third year partnership between Chain Reaction Queensland and Bikestyle Tours. Under the direction of Adam Gill (Bikestyle Tours director), Lorian and her partner Pete Forbes deliver the training program, helping the large group of riders work together and support each other to survive the 7 days on a bike. What Lorian finds most rewarding about each Chain Reaction ride is sharing her years of professional experience with every participant, whether they are rookie's on the bike or seasoned riders. Every 1% improvement on the bike contributes to getting through the 1000km more efficiently and raising more funds for children.
